Australia versus New Zealand at Adelaide Oval in the cricket.

Blokes in thongs, shorts, singlets & floppy hats are everywhere throughout the city.

Their dress sense should be concerning me, but it's more the issue of those carrying inflatable animals.

What's up with that?!?

Anyone out there playing JFK Reloaded?

Someone ain't too bright out there in cyber space!

Seven hits for "how to perform perfect oral sex", all within 12 hours. Assuming only one person was responsible, they first tried yahoo, then google, with & without a question mark, but all to no avail!

Only three sites match their requirements, of which I am the last. Now, I don't profess to be able to perform oral sex perfectly, but I am quite happy to judge those who would like to attempt perfection (hint, hint, email on side bar!).

I'm just trying to work out, why, without any detailed instructions here, why they kept returning!?!

Amongst all the tragedy of the world, there is more tragedy. This time it is the end for Adam & Wil on Triple J on Friday this week.

I have fond memories of the early days, after Paul, Mikey & the Sandman left the station & Adam Spencer, self confessed geek, took the reigns on his lonesome.

Wil Anderson eventually joined the journey, bringing his nail polish & hatred for Comedy Ink & history was in the making.

Some five years later, it all comes to an end & it probably sounds stupid, that a simple breakfast radio show will be sorely missed, but the fact is, I have arrived at work some mornings, with an aching face from laughing & odd looks from other motorists seeing me in hysterics from their rear view mirrors.

Thankfully, some of their best moments exist for download on the Triple J website & my favourite moment, being Adam’s lift race story, nearly had me pulling over to compose myself. The Pope on Tour is another controversial classic as well as the weekly Gay School episodes plucked from the archives.

So, by 9am on Friday morning, we shall know who will be presenting the breakfast show for next year. Adam & Wil had big shoes to fill & whoever takes it over have as big a shoes to work with!

Damn, what an amazing show by the Finn Brothers at the Adelaide Entertainment Centre last night!

I just wish I'd bought tickets earlier & had a seat closer to the stage, but by the end it didn't matter with the crowd abandoning their seats & dancing the last few songs.

After the first song, Tim eliminated the flashing bulbs of the media photographers & in the final half of the show, Neil eventually disbanded the security trying to keep people in their seats. What was a great show, just got better after Neil professed - "You guys effectively rented the venue for us, so you can pretty much do whatever you want!" After that, pairs & then groups of the audience moved to the area in front of the stage & helped the Finns completely rock out.

I saw Neil Finn play at Heaven 2 mid last year & was blown away by just how heavy & intense he can play songs which seem so subtle & crafted on both his solo & Crowded House albums. The first two songs really proved they had lost none of the ability which brought the Crowdies, Split Enz & their solo careers to the international spotlight. I'm not quite sure what some of the older members of the public thought, but then again, if they were listening to the Enz, they should have known what was coming!

I never thought I'd see the day where Tim Finn would perform Enz material in my presence & with "Poor Boy", "Dirty Creature" & "Six Months in a Leaky Boat", I was having a blast! Neil brought out "I Got You", to rapturous reception, as well as the numerous Crowded House & Finn Brothers songs from their new album "Everyone is Here".

The highlight was the finale & a full audience sing-a-long of "Four Seasons in One Day". Even Neil was blown away by the harmonious crowd, who actually sounded pretty good!

Top night!

Well, Casey Donovan is the second Australian Idol, thankfully.

Should I also mention how long could final show be dragged out! Scheduled for two hours & ended up over three, with more padding than Britney Spears' bra!

Congratulations to the deserved winner, only 16 years old with so much raw talent. With some real training & experience, she'll be amazing.

She's already come one hell of a long way from the tracky-daks & dreds!

After an incident in which my heart rate doubled in a split second this morning, I thought I should mention that having a mobile phone stuck to your ear with one hand & trying to drive a car with the other, is fucking stupid.

I don't care how important you think you are, the call is never so important you can't pull over before you answer.

Trust me, it's not because I care for the safety of the drivers who use their phones whilst driving, but the safety of those who get nailed by them. I honestly couldn't give a shit about the fat bastard in the white Ford Meteor, who drove out in front of me, if he wraps his sorry ass around a tree on his own. However, when he takes someone out who is actually being attentive to the road, I get really pissed.

I think what fucked me off most of all, is after swerving around his car, he continued on, still talking on the phone, changing gears & steering with his only available hand.

I'm feeling a bit better about the world in general now. A little thing called Karma kicked in & if I bide my time, well, things might just turn out swell!

I picked up my ticket today for the Finn Brothers' show on Monday night. I left it a bit late to get a really good seat, but I'm starting to really look forward to it. While I was out to collect the ticket, I wandered through the Myer Centre, which was the scene for a rather gruesome murder yesterday morning.

We found out about the incident at the hotel only a few minutes after it took place, whilst the city went into a bit of a shutdown. The scene was rather quiet today, but the staff were mingling in groups talking about the events. I'm sure it would have been rather horrific for those in the vicinity.

At the front of the Myer Centre, a raffle is taking place for a new car. When the gunman ran from the scene he apparently jumped into the car in panic. I was actually surprised to see the raffle continuing in the same spot. Not surprisingly, there weren't too many buying tickets today.

I'm having some serious issues with the world today. It's actually only one or two people which have got my back up, but gee, they've done a great job in doing so.

Instead of defaming someone straight up, I'll have a bit of a think about it first & post a bit later.

Well bugger me!, the same individual which is causing me grief, just walked into my office & proved my current state of thinking... again!

Occasionally you find that little gem which needs a bit of love & affection to become a castle.

I'm pretty sure this isn't that "gem"

I'm sure for someone this would be a great purchase, but it's the suit of armour, the skeleton picture on the wall & the toy soldier on top of the computer in this image which have me worried about it's curent owner!

You either see it or you don't!

If not then you'd better install Macromedia Flash.

If you do see it, let me know what you think. I've been playing around with Swishmax & since it was all rather easy, this is the result. I have a few more ideas, but I'll persue them based on the feedback for this attempt.

Hmmm, of course, it might just irritate me to death, in which case this little project could be over real soon!

It's been raining since I left home this morning, but it's one of those warm rainy days which I don't mind at all. Most of the drops have evaporated before they hit the ground. Storms are forecast, so I'll have to take a walk a bit later & see if I can get hit by some lightning!

More vivid dreams due to the weather last night. Once again, it revolved around a girl I haven't seen for a couple of years now & haven't had anything to do with since High School over twelve years ago. She pops into my dreams a few times a year & our lives seem to cross paths in unusual ways every six months or so. I don't know what it all means, it's just a bit spooky!

With any luck the clouds will clear & we might get to see a bit of Aurora Australis action tonight!

There's a little map of the world on the side bar showing where the hits to the site come from.

It's finally started working after sitting there for a couple of days stagnant. I imagine it will eventually look like Armageddon is upon us, with all the red dots marking out the visitors... or lack thereof!

I’ve got all this flashy new equipment & have backed right off from blogging. It’s just a bit tough at the moment performing the jobs of two people & fitting 80 hours of work into 40. It simply doesn’t work but in a couple of weeks everything should return to normal.

Lets make this one of those “cover-all entries”….

I had a couple of responses for the last post. I thought I’d leave it there for a while & see what happened. In the end it all turned ugly & the abuse started flowing!

The weather isn’t playing the Spring game, instead throwing up four seasons in one day (excuse the Crowded House pun), so I’ve been messing around on the new PC, pulling out all the demo games which I couldn’t previously run. I went back & pulled out Myst III: Exile which I completed a couple of years ago, but the 3D landscapes are still rather amazing. I have the original version of Myst which was such a revelation when it was first released & still the biggest selling game in history but alas, my version won’t run on an XP machine! I also completed Riven on a borrowed Mac, over an intense week of puzzle solving, but I never actually owned a copy, so my set is incomplete.
Where is all this drivel leading? Well, to the next installment in the series called URU: Ages Beyond Myst. I started the journey yesterday & it’s slow going. Using my brain to sort stuff out again is painful, but once I get into it properly it’ll be cool. The game actually came out last year & the lead up to it was quite unique involving various hidden web pages on the net leaking strange information. Unfortunately, those pages have not been re-registered, but their remains exist elsewhere. My motivation to complete the game will be the latest in the series, Myst IV – Revelation.

I’ve apparently had 205 visits through BlogExplosion (BE) so far, but I sure haven’t surfed 410 pages to clock up the 2:1 ratio required! I did however, add a banner which appears at the top when people are surfing. The strike rate ain’t great though with a click-through of 1.14%. I have noticed some bloggers are getting thousands of hits via BE, so does that mean they surf all day long to get credits?

I'm once again playing around with the idea of updating the site. A face lift hasn't been done since the start of the year, so it's time! (may take another year to be up though!)

Hmmm, that's enough for tonight.

It’s a miserable day outside today, but I suspect it might be rather similar all around the world, except for the 59,095,822(current count, give a take a few) individuals in America who are bathing in the sunshine coming from the nether regions of returned United States President George Bush.

My personal view of the guy is rather clear. Put simply, I have the utmost distain for the man & rank him along side the terrorists & dictators he claims as enemies.

However, the result is final & unfortunately the rest of the planet doesn’t get to vote (could you imagine if we did!), but since so many Americans did decide to keep him for another four, I would love to know why! What is the rest of the world missing that 51% of the US’s population see as the endearing factors of George Bush?

I won’t pass judgement on anyone, so here’s the opportunity to express the reasons for voting Bush back in! Start commenting!

Happy voting to everyone in America!

I just hope everyone votes with the knowledge that the rest of the countries on the globe are quite scared of the current rodent!

Isn't a change as good as a holiday?

Good luck to everyone tipping aimlessly like myself in the Melbourne Cup. I’m in the sweep with a few Nags I’ve never heard of. Two years ago I pulled out both first & second & then last year, I grabbed a couple of entrants for someone else, which turned out to also be first & second!

Let’s hope that luck continues, but with the bunch I have, it’s not looking likely!

Current odds of my picks;

11. Roman Arch – 100:1
21. Don Raphael – 50:1
14. Lashed – 70:1
17. She’s Archie – 16:1

I finally prepared my tax return last night. I’ve only had four months to do it, but I managed to submit it on the final day!

At least I have been able to keep the money I owe for a few months. It’s better off in my hands than theirs!
